About

From keeping systems running to designing what people see.

I’m Mahtab, a front-end web developer with an IT background and a passion for becoming a full-stack developer. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and then immigrated to Canada, where I studied Business Administration for a year at Thompson Rivers University.

I worked as an IT Specialist, Web Developer, and IT Technician for over five years. Since my university degree was in Information Technology, most of my professional experience was initially focused on IT rather than web development. I wanted to strengthen my web development skills and build on what I already knew, so I took a Front-End Web Development program. Since then, coding has quickly become a part of my everyday life.

Beyond the screen

Outside of development I swim, hike, ride my bike, and read: things that keep my mind and body active. Recently I’ve discovered ice skating, which is equal parts challenge and fun.
